David Bowie - Where Are We Now?

There are not many songwriters in the world that can convey the quality like David Bowie does.
With his new single "Where Are We Now?" he proves that not only he is still able to convey and deliver a great deal of sensitivity towards humanity through his music but also he has no need in leaning on his old archive of songs that launched him to success so he can keep existing as public music figure.
It is refreshing to hear a writer from that era of music history that still holds a strong creative force and that has not fallen into the path of repetition of patterns or music formulas so the sales can still go up.
It is inspiring as a musician not only to know that there are other musicians out there who stick to the belief that true creation is the north of this career but also that there is an audience out there who is willing to pay close attention to that well elaborated craft which takes years to develop.
When one can create a sound like David Bowie has done over the past 3 decades in such elegant, tasteful and classy approach without being snob about it, you can bet that any release they put out there will always have a special thing to say, regardless of liking it or not those kinds of writers will always carry along a unique voice of their own, perhaps their true ambition and thirst for creation is what makes an artist like him a special one, always striving for something new, unique and different.
In the official video for this song directed by Tony Oursler we can feel that not only he cares about his music being out of the ordinary but he reaffirms one more time that the visual aspects of his life plays a huge role of who he is as a person and as an artist, I guess that has always been that one thing that is very characteristic about Bowie's carrier, the constant search for something new.
Being this production his number 30th, we can only wait and hope for the full-length album to have the same powerful and moving touch as this single had.
After being away from it all for 10 years most likely he has some surprises to show to the world in the same way he did at his early stages of his career.
