There are thousands of music jobs available, as the music industry is huge.

One of the keys to succeeding in the music industry is to get your foot in the door as soon as you can. That may mean you take a lower paying job or a job that may not interest you that much, but can lead to bigger and better things for you. Here are some music jobs that you may consider when you are just starting out in the industry.

Jingle Writer
You have all heard those commercials and advertisements that get stuck in your head for days. It can be easier for a song writer to break into the jingle writing business than into the actual songwriting business. This may be something you look into while writing your own songs and promoting them on the side.

Promotional Staffer
A promotional staffer works with radio stations to get air time for a record label. This can be a way to get into the promotional and public relations department in the music industry.

Record Label Intern
If you are willing to work for some time without pay or without decent pay, you may consider taking an internship at a record label. This can be a great learning experience of the ins and outs of a label, and it can help you get your foot in the door at the label. Many times companies will hire their interns for full time jobs if they prove worthy.
