How to Find a Mac Address of a Remote System
- 1). Click the Windows "Start" button and enter "cmd" into the search text box. If you have an older Windows version such as XP or 2000, select "Run" from the menu and then enter "cmd." Press "Enter" to open the command line.
- 2). Type the following command into the Windows command prompt, replacing "system name" with the name of the remote machine:
getmac /s %system name% - 3). Press "Enter." View the results. The first column is labeled "Physical Address." This is the remote computer's MAC address.
