How to Make Your Own Font Software
- 1). Use the Your Fonts service. Your Fonts allows you to create your own fonts with more than 200 different characters. You create your font by downloading templates from the Your Fonts website, drawing your font onto the template and scanning the template back into your computer as an image file. When you upload the image to Your Fonts, your font is automatically generated.
- 2). Visit the FontStruct website. FontStruct is another Web-based font creation tool that doesn't require the use of a downloaded template. You can simply create your font using FontStruct's online editing tools.
- 3). Create your font using Fontifier. Fontifier, like Your Fonts, is a Web-based service that allows you to create your own fonts using a downloadable template. When you upload your completed template back to the Fontifier website, your font is created. You can then choose to pay $9 (as of July 2010) to purchase and download your font if you're satisfied with the way it looks.
