How to Make Candy Grams for Halloween
- 1). Combine 1/2 cup of corn starch and 3/4 cup of cold water into a small bowl. Mix thoroughly and set aside.
- 2). Combine 3/4 cup of cold water with 2 tbsp. of corn syrup and 1 tbsp. of white vinegar. Mix together in a medium-sized sauce pan.
- 3). Boil the mixture.
- 4). Combine the mixture from the bowl with the mixture from the saucepan. Slowly pour the boiled mixture into the other. Stir continuously. Let sit at room temperature overnight to set.
- 1). Draw Halloween shapes or outlines onto a piece of construction paper. Use brown or orange paper for a Halloween look. Try a bat, witch's hat or pumpkin.
- 2). Use the edible glue to trace the outline you drew on the construction paper.
- 3). Put different types of candy on the glue. Let it dry completely.
- 4). Use a marker or pencil to write "Trick-or-Treat," "BOO!" or "Happy Halloween!" onto the paper. If you are creative, try to incorporate the name of the candy into the sentiment.
- 5). Add finishing touches with plastic spiders, pumpkin seeds or small rubber bats. Glue these non-edible items around the message and candy.
