How to Sew the Boning Strips Into Seams
- 1). Use a hot iron to flatten the two sides of your seam allowance to one side of the seam.
- 2). Straight stitch down the entire seam allowance, closing it shut and creating a fabric channel into which the boning can sit.
- 3). Insert the boning into the channel and trim it to the appropriate length. The boning should sit snugly inside the channel, keeping the seam stiff.
- 4). Sew both ends of the channel shut to keep the boning in place.
