How the Internet Helped Me Find Cell Phone Numbers
It's becoming pretty difficult to find someone's cell phone number, even if you know them well.
I don't even know my friends' phone numbers anymore, that's what my $400 cell phone is for haha! And of course, my cell phone took a swim one late, late night.
Turning my Blackberry into a pricey paperweight and sending all my phone numbers to the bottom of the lake.
I thought I had backed up all the phone numbers, but when I went to look up a phone numbers in my e-mail, I saw that my list of numbers was only half complete.
Ugh! What a pain! I started calling my friends (the numbers I had at least) asking for phone numbers.
But I could only find a few.
And since I live on the border of the United States and Canada, phonebooks were all but useless -- especially since 90 percent of my friends use cell phones that aren't listed in phone books.
So for a day or two, I just sent out an e-mail to the friends who's info I had (most of my e-mails sank to the bottom of the lake too) then I just gave up and just waited for people to call me.
Some did, but even a week after ruining my phone, I only had about two thirds of my former numbers.
So, I redoubled my efforts and turned to the Internet to find an online cell phone number finder.
At fist, I found a lot of really shady looking Web sites, but with some work I began to find professional looking services.
I plugged in my credit card and started searching for friends that would have my other friends' phone numbers.
It worked like a charm, I was really surprised how easy it was to find cell phone numbers online -- it was kind of scary! I used this cell phone number finder that said it uses public records to find numbers.
It was pretty simple, I could even see if my friends had money problems! They didn't, but it was kind of funny to look haha!
