Physics also has concerns even when taking your kid for a bicycle ride. It tells us that a child in the mounted seat on a bike can raise the center of gravity. This changes the bike's handling capability but doesn't add instability. The bicycle's frame also plays a role in stability according to geometrical studies.

But, the weight of an infant is negligible compared to the weight and size of most adults. So, usually the change in balance is really unacceptable in all terms. If you want to practice before you place your kid on the mounted seat, you can take some stuff that as heavy as your kid, strap it into the seat and take it for the ride.

The most difficult thing with child seats is when you take your child in and out of the seat, especially with the traditional rear rack mounted seats. One danger is not while you are riding, the danger is actually when you stop. When you get out of the bike you must be concerned on maintaining the balance of the bike just to keep it upright. It takes more effort for the rider to just dismount the bike. Smaller guys usually have this type of problem, but, a larger person is able to manage this problem with ease and is provided with a safe biking experience.

Having a child seat installed in your bike usually has advantages in some urban areas. Other drivers might see you with the seat and keep a distance from you and also lessen harassment from the other motorists that roam around.

In some incidents, the child only gets minor head and arm injuries when he/she is placed in the traditional rear seat. The only thing that matters is the driver because he'll get all the further damages that can be caused because of being in front. The child's foot can also get stuck in the rear tires if it is not well-heaped for safety. You can't even see what is happening behind you and your child. When the child gets tired, there's no place to rest but the slumps of the side of the rear seats. There are also hazards if the child is moving not accordingly with your riding and both of you might find yourself on the ground. But, manufacturers have developed the type of seat from all the problems encountered.

They have found a much better way to take your kid for a ride. They developed the front mounted seat which provides a much safer way and comfort for both the rider and the passenger. While in front, the center of gravity is centered in one place and this affects the handling. You can easily steer the handle bars for quick turns and sudden stops. You can also talk with your child while you are riding. The child can see a much better view rather than riding in the back.

However, whatever the type of child carrier you choose, always be careful when you are riding a bike and safety measures must always be observed.
