    • 1). Dine at Christine's in the East Village. Christine's is a Polish American dining establishment that has been around for ages. This is a good place to go to get trusty, reliable yet always tasty Polish delights. The prices are moderate and the atmosphere is homey and relaxing. Be sure to try the blintzes as well as the spinach pie.

    • 2). Visit Damis in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Greenpoint is one of the biggest Polish neighborhoods in the city, so it is not surprise that it offers a tasty Polish dining experience like Damis. The staff is friendly and efficient, and there is no better place to go to get some pierogis or bigos. Also be sure to try their trout--one of their specialties.

    • 3). Stop by Karczma in Greenpoint. Yet another lovely Greenpoint restaurant, Karczma is a pleasant, relaxed restaurant with a folksy vibe. The portions are generous, the service is polite, and the flaczki (tripe soup) is delicious and very authentic. By taking one step inside of Karczma, you will feel like you've been automatically transported to a small Polish village.

    • 4). Eat at Teresa's on Montague Street in Brooklyn. Theresa's is a very well-known Polish restaurant in Brooklyn, in the upscale and elegant neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights. Teresa's offers a slightly higher end selection of Polish cuisine. Not only can you feast on casual Polish fare such as pierogis and blintzes, you can choose from a diverse selection of steaks, fish, and poultry as well.

    • 5). Go to Little Poland Restaurant on 2nd Avenue in Manhattan. This is a relaxed Polish restaurant with a diner style setting. The prices are moderate and the tastes are excellent. Go to Little Poland for some great Polish Kielbasa or beef stroganoff. You can even have a hamburger if you'd like, as the menu features a lot of classic American meals as well.
