How to Make a Turntable Work With a Guitar Amp
- 1). Locate the "Audio Out" or "Headphone" outlet on the side of your record player and insert a 1/4 or 1/8 cord into the input jack. If you do not have the right size cable, adapters for either size can be purchased inexpensively at any electronic store.
- 2). Plug the opposite end of the cord into the guitar amplifier. Plug the amplifier and record player into electrical wall outlet and turn them both on. Make sure the cord is connected properly on both ends, with no static or buzzing.
- 3). Place a record on the player and let it play. Minimize the amount of distortion and delay by turning the appropriate knobs on the amplifier. Adjust the volume by turning the knobs on either the record player or the amplifier.
