Not a big organization in terms of its manufacture, AmeriGlide nonetheless distinguishes itself successfully by a strong marketing focus, the offering of do-it-yourself stair lift chairs, and their refitting and maintaining service.
The marketing push from the company results in its being one of the most putatively well known household names for stairlifts in the U.
S.
Its website is very heavy with call-to-action marketing, and it offers extensive pre-sales services.
Of note, its sales center is open daily, inclusive of weekends, from 7 in the morning to midnight; and is very adept at answering any questions prospective buyers may have.
The AmeriGlide company is very unique in its offering of do-it-yourself stair lift chairs; which are stair lifts that consumers can themselves install.
In contrast to products from other manufacturers, which require substantial and expensive installation procedures, these products are meant to be easy to install, and a lot of their design has been executed with this goal in mind.
This strategy results in AmeriGlide's having some of the cheapest (read:least expensive) products in the market.
However, since their ease-of-installation was a primary design goal, one may presume that design may suffer in other areas.
The company also has an extensive, and extremely profitable, maintenance and repair department.
This department is responsible both for helping consumers with their product installations, and with refitting old models so that they can be sold once more.
The company is fervently targeting the low end of the market, namely those who want to spend the least amount of money for increased mobility.
