How to Change the Margins When Printing from an iMac
- 1). Launch the program you want to print from. The actual method of changing the margins can differ slightly from program to program (such as a word processor and a photo editing program); however, it is relatively similar so once you know how to do it on one program, you can perform the same action on most others.
- 2). Click the "File" button in the upper left corner of the program screen to load the pull-down menu.
- 3). Click "Page Setup" from the available options on the menu. A new window loads in a moment.
- 4). Move your mouse to "Margins" and adjust the size of the margins you want. You can make these bigger or smaller; however, do note some programs do not let you move the margins all the way down to zero. To know if your program allows it, type in "0" for the margin size and press "Enter," then see if the margin stays at "0"
- 5). Click "OK" to save the margin change.
- 6). Select "File" followed by "Print." Click "Print" again and the document prints with the changed margin size.
