  The Rega P1 has joined Rega's lineup of seven turntables and is noted for its minimalist design. The P1 is the first to join Rega's Planar turntable range for some time, and Rega considers the P1 to be an entry-level model. Tonearm

• The Rega P1 offers a completely redesigned tonearm called the Rega RB100. The turntable is readily fitted with a cartridge and needle, which can prove useful if you don't wish to purchase a cartridge separately. The cartridge itself is an Ortofon OM5e, which is Rega's proprietary moving magnet cartridge.
  
  

Speed

• For stability of speed, the Rega P1 offers a main bearing, sub platter assembly, and stabilized MDF platter, which ensure that during record playback you can be easily manipulate the speed without the sound being inconsistent. In addition, the Rega P1 offers a new phenolic resin flywheel effect platter and low vibration motor, which also helps with speed stability.
  
  

Color

• The Rega P1 offers color customization through Rega's colored turntable mats. The mats themselves are 2 mm in thickness and can be used with any Rega turntable except the P9. Rega offers the following colors: red, blue, yellow, and purple.
