List Building to Wealth 2
In my eyes your list is the most important part of your business, and you really want a responsive list that you have built with the people that subscribe.
Is the content general or strong; is it useful information or are you just trying to sell a product every time you e-mail? What are you looking for when you get e-mails from the lists you subscribe to? I am always looking for good content and maybe a tip or two to help me grow my business.
I tend not to open, or read after a while, the ones that are just pitching a new product every day.
Now do you like reading e-mails that are not grammatically right or have poor content? Or do you like to get fresh information and content that will help you in your pursuit of your on line business? Your auto responder should be packed full of informational e-mails and useful gems for your readers, that they can apply immediately without purchasing your product.
When you get helpful information that you can apply to your business and it works do you look forward to getting more e-mails from that person? If so then you begin to trust that person and feel confident in buying one of their primary products to help you grow your business.
So how do you do this: List Building to Wealth 1) Write intelligently - If you are the expert in the field that you are writing about, they look forward to reading your e-mails so they can grow their business and it's a win-win for everyone.
2) Write comfortably - They should feel like they are talking to a friend over a cup of coffee.
Don't you enjoy talking with a friend in getting information from each other? If so your e-mails are doing that you are on your way to list building to wealth.
3) Try not to sell in every e-mail - I like to get e-mails where people ask me questions, and want my response.
It's like a private forum with the person you are getting e-mails from.
Then when I get an e-mail that is selling one of their products, or referring me to an affiliate product, I take a close look at it and sometimes buy.
Do you like getting e-mails that sound like long sales letters? I know I don't, they tend to turn me off, but I always enjoy ones with good information.
4) Send the right amount of e-mails - When I am first getting to know someone that signed up for my list, I e-mail them every two to three days to build a relationship.
That's when the people have the highest level of interest in what they are going to get from you.
Once you have built that relationship I think maybe two times a week is good; and then with good information they will not mind if you pitch one product in every three or four e-mails.
How do you feel when you get a sales letter every other day from a list you subscribe to? 5) Reading your e-mails before you send then out - As you read if it doesn't sound comfortable is it one you would want to receive? Would you enjoy reading it, or would you click away, delete or even unsubscribe? So if you read your e-mails before you send them and you enjoy them so will the people receiving them! 6) Always remember your readers are people - not just an e-mailbox.
Are you being personable are you respecting their time by writing good e-mails.
Treat them as you would want to be treated.
You can call that the Golden rule.
And now you are on your way to list building to wealth.
