A new furniture line has launched from Designer Robin Wilson, known for her eco-friendly and healthy space interior and product design. The line continues with the dedication to a healthy home environment and to the environment in general for which Wilson has come to be known.

Eco-Luxury

The new collection consists of chairs, sofas, sectionals and ottomans, each available in 10 different colors including interesting shades like Aloe, Flint and Rouge.

Each piece in the line is handcrafted using a maple or poplar frame and can be customized via six options for wood stained legs. It’s completed with eco-friendly padding and cushioning and fitted with organic cotton upholstery.

Wilson noted how proud she is of the fact the new line is a Made in the USA product (specifically, it’s made in Brooklyn, N.Y.) and that it offers variety, affordability and style all in one attractive package. And that local construction adds to the product’s green quotient as well since the closer it’s made to you the less it costs financially and environmentally speaking. The fuel alone used to ship a piece of furniture from overseas is enough of a reason to buy everything from within closer reach.

The lines of the pieces also manage to blur the style lines between traditional and contemporary design taking on a bit of a Mid-century vibe. It adds versatility to a collection that is already set to please everyone from allergy sufferers to sustainability devotees to disciples of good design.

The promise is you’re getting a piece of heirloom quality furniture that will not only be around for future generations to enjoy but will have done a little good for the world they live in as well.

The Robin Wilson line of furniture is available at www.theneststore.com. All designs in the line can be shipped to any location. Use of the customer’s own material is available for trade professionals only.

Green Living

Wilson is serious about living a greener life and helping others to do the same as well. She is by no means a designer who hopped on the sustainable train but instead is among those who sincerely back their beliefs with actions that extend beyond the use of green products. Wilson has served as an ambassador for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America since 2011. An asthma and allergy sufferer herself, Wilson works with the Foundation to increase awareness of indoor air quality issues that affect wellness in residential and commercial spaces.

While Wilson’s specialty may be in the home environment, her reach extends well beyond it. For example, the blog portion of her website covers everything from Made in the USA, sustainable furnishings to DEET-free mosquito prevention sprays.

The point is that living a greener life is supposed to be an actual lifestyle decision, not a one-time purchase. Each step you make is important, each area of your life you can make greener is important, each piece of green information you can share with others and help them to lead a greener life as well is important.
