I have learned a ton of Spanish over the past few years.
Part of the reason has been that I have worked in construction as a mason for the past 25 years.
For the last 10 of that I haven't been able to find any help that could speak much English therefore I have adapted to the change.

The company that I worked for is one of the largest masonry construction companies in the US.
My older and younger brother and I all three worked there and at the same time.
The older of us and myself took advantage and decided to learn the Spanish Language while my younger brother just worked hard.
Now the two of us have moved to the top of the company and the younger of us is still working hard every day.

Before you even get start one thing you need consider is, you don't have to be 100% proficient in Spanish to start reaping the rewards.
All you have to do is look for opportunities to help someone out with what you know or have learned and you will have already proved yourself more valuable.
If you do this every time you get the opportunity you will soon be much more valuable to your boss than you could even imagine.
