How to Use Multiple NICs in Windows
- 1). Connect an Ethernet cable between your additional NIC and the Ethernet port on another computer or device.
- 2). Press the "Windows" key, then type "Network and Sharing" in the "Search programs..." field, and press "Enter." This opens a new window.
- 3). Click the "Change Adapter Settings" link, which is located on the left side of your screen. This opens a window populated with installed network adapters.
- 4). Double-click to open "Local Area Connection." This displays a properties window for the primary NIC.
- 5). Click the "Sharing" tab. Select the selection box beside "Allow other network users...," then click the "Home Networking Connection" drop-down menu, and select "Local Area Connection 2."
- 6). Press the "OK" button at the bottom, and then restart the second computer or device. Your computer is now using both NICs, and is sharing its Internet connection.
