    • 1). Install Deep Freeze -- or another of the similar programs -- in your student lab.

    • 2). Configure the Deep Freeze Administrator account. Create the workstation install file. Select "Workstation," create an administrative password, select which drives will be accessible by users on the workstations and set automatic events like Windows updates and startup/shutdown times.

    • 3). Save the Workstation Install file to a network drive and then run it on every workstation in the computer lab.

    • 4). Restart all the computers. They will all be locked, showing a polar bear icon in the system tray.
