Meka was an "accidental adoption" as a very young kitten. Kris had gone to a pet store to buy food for her daughter's rabbit. A lady outside had two kittens about 12 weeks old. She had found them sleeping the the middle of the road that morning and had hoped the pet store would take them, but they had refused. Taken by the beauty of the calico kitten, Kris agreed to take her. Now, nine years later, Kris still finds Meka a joy to live with.
