Corporations and Fund Raising

More and more companies are working together with charities.
A partnership that has good things in store for both sides.
I could see it with my own eyes, when I and some friends went to a fund raising event in Singapore.
A local transportation company supported us raising funds for a local nursing organization.
The company helped us with ideas for rewarding those who made a donation.
While helping us the company at the same time was able to raise their profile amongst the public and was able to promote their services.
This may well have gained a competitive advantage in the competitive transport market in Singapore.
At the same time the donations helped to help poor and elderly people and was also able to create a higher awareness of their goals.
A win-win situation not only for the company, but also for the charity and most importantly for those in need.
This is especially important as corruption scandals in the recent past shuck the trust in charity organizations in Singapore in the recent past.
This might show donating money in a more positive light and might cause a shift for good amongst the public.
Singaporeans are long known for their generosity and surely will not turn a blind eye on the needs of the elderly and poor people.
Receiving the products as rewards will make them appear in a positive light.
A strategy more companies should think about in the future to make them stand out from the crowd.
