The Bottom Line
This is a long awaited album from a artist that made a place in peoples hearts back in the 90's after making it as an overnight sensation after his victory on Star Search. This tall handsome and wonderfully talented singer has a lot to give in country music and shows us all that and more in this project. And what a great father!!!

Guide Review - Billy Dean - Let Them Be Little
After nine years, Billy now finds himself back on top as his song "Let Them Be Little" hits the Top 10 of Billboard Country Singles chart. Being in the country radio spotlight in the early 1990's with hits climbing to the Top 5, this must feel pretty good to him. Billy's signature hits, "Somewhere in my Broken Heart" and "Billy The Kid" are included on this CD as bonus tracks. Billy is back and better than before, writing and singing songs about his own experiences, rather than someone else's idea of what might be a hit.
Dean tells us his ideas about parenting, and how we should "Let Them Be Little," for it is so true they are only that way for a while. In "Race You To The Bottom," Dean shows us a quite different aspect of his voice with a little bit of sass and an edginess in his voice. I'm really enjoying the differences in this album, with "I'm In Love With You" and "Slow Motion," real deep love songs, to some bluesy types like "Good Love Gone Bad."
Billy's independent release of a little more rockin' bluesy side of John Denver's hit "Thank God I'm A Country Boy" made us all take notice of him once again and got him a new deal with Curb records. He says now if he gets the chance for a moment back in the spotlight, he'd be proud to share his story, his love of life and the investment he's made in his kids in the time he's been away. I believe that has made him a better person and singer. Billy, I hope you get that spotlight!
