How to Get Waves With Texturizer
Things You'll Need
Instructions
1Comb your wet hair out starting at the ends and making your way up toward the roots. This will loosen any tangles from your freshly washed hair.
2
Spray your head with a texturizing spray, starting at mid-shaft and finishing at the ends of your hair. Spray enough to cover the entire area; usually around five to six spritzes.
3
Flip your head over. Scrunch your hair using your fingers to work the texturizer into the strands. This also pushes the hair together and begins to shape the wave.
4
Part your hair in the desired style using your comb. Grab a 1- to 2-inch section of hair nearest to your forehead. Place your finger near the scalp and begin wrapping the hair around your finger until the entire strand is twisted.
5
Wind the hair up into a little bun near your scalp. Place a bobby pin directly over the bun and add another to make a criss-cross.
6
Repeat winding 1- to 2-inch sections of hair around your finger until all your hair is secured into little buns with criss-cross bobby pins. Pay careful attention to follow your part line.
7
Place a bandana or comfortable knit cap over your head before bed. This helps keep the bobby pins in place as you sleep.
8
Take the pins out when you wake up. Flip your head over, and fluff and separate the waves with your fingers.
9
Flip your head upward and style your waves using your fingers. Brush or comb the hair carefully if it is wavier than expected.
10
Spritz a light-hold hairspray over your entire head. This helps keep the waves in place, but allows for flexibility and movement when you walk.
