Hip Measurements

• 1). Measure the girth of your hips with a cloth measuring tape.
  
  
• 2). Place the measuring tape tip about 1 inch lower than the top of your hip bones.
  
  
• 3). Stretch the measuring tape around you and read the measurement where the measuring tape meets its tip in inches.
  
  

Torso Measurements

• 1). Locate your C7 vertebra, which is the prominent bump at the base of your neck.
  
  
• 2). Have a helper hold the tip of a cloth measuring tape on the C7 vertebra while you stand straight and erect. Have the helper pull the measuring tape down the center of your spine where the top of your hip bones intersects with your spine.
  
  
• 3). Read your torso length in inches at the top of the hip bones.
