X Factor is already having a big impact on the pop singles chart, and it is only September. Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran returns to the top 10 following a performance of "The A Team" by Bradley Johnson auditioning on the show. Similarly, Damien Rice's "Cannonball," which first hit the top 10 on the pop singles chart back in 2002, is back again after an audition performance of the former hit by John Adams. Singer-songwriter James Morrison returns with his fifth top 10 pop hit single as a preview for his album The Awakening which hits stores this week.

Kasabian return with their third consecutive #1 album this week. Velociraptor follows two double platinum certified #1 collections.

After reaching #4 with her single "Jar Of Hearts," Christina Perri has a strong #9 opening for her debut album Lovestrong. Rock supergroup Superheavy, featuring Mick Jagger and Joss Stone among others, opens at what seems a weak #13.
