Hair is an essential component of an attractive personality and many people pay special attention to the health and beauty of their hair.
There are many skin diseases that can ruin one's ease and comfort and can turn your life into a nightmare.
'Atopic Dermatitis', also known as 'Ezema or Atopic Eczema' is a dangerous skin disease caused mainly by lack of moisture inside the skin.
Although, it does not put the life of the victim in threat, but it turns his life in hell.
Atopic Eczema causes severe scaling and itching of the skin and the patient cannot resist stopping himself from scratching.
But scratching only makes matters worse, as the skin turns reddish and your feeling of irritation will become more intense.
Cases in which patients suffer from milder 'eczema', they suffer from dryness, itching and a reddish skin.
But in more serious cases, the agitation is very great and the skin can get damaged badly before it starts bleeding.
The dilemma faced by patients is that the temptation to scratch is very high, yet they know that further scratching will only make matters worse.
There are many types of ezema skin diseases that are seen to be scattered all over the world, but 'atopic eczema' patients have been found to be in large numbers in UK.
Studies suggest that out of every five school children one is suffering from eczema while the ratio in adults is around one out of twelve people.
After years of research and studies doctors and chemists have been unable to find the exact cure of 'Atopic Eczema', but there are several methods being used in the hope that they work.
Although, the picture may seem very gloomy, but looking on the brighter side, 'Atopic Eczema' is not a contagious disease and one can freely make contact with a patient.
Use of emollients is the most common and preferred remedy to tackle eczema disease.
Its use is also recommended to normal people as this can also prevent any future skin problems.
Emollients provide the skin with sufficient moisture which is resistant to eczema.
The best time to put it on is when you have just come out of the shower, as your skin will be smoother and softer.
Some steroid creams and lotions are also recommended to patients, which do not cure the disease as such, but do help in reducing the inflammation and irritation in the skin.
The worst thing to do for an eczema patient is to apply a cream or lotion without the consent of his doctor, as it will only worsen the situation.
Therefore, it is best to consult a dermatologist and only use prescribed medicines.
