When moving, it's easy to focus on the details associated with your possessions and the home that you are moving to.
Rarely does anyone consider the condition of the house they are moving from.
In some situations (especially in rental properties) the condition you leave your home will determine whether you get your deposit back or not or how your property will be appraised.
Once you make some of these minor repairs, any potential buyer or renter will have no problem seeing the value of your home.
The best place to start would be the cosmetics.
Painting the wall, cabinets and doors will dramatically improve the appearance of a home.
Be sure to clear anything out of the closets of your home, you just might come across something that you forgot to pack.
You should do your best to replace any hinges or door knobs that may need repair.
Remember to Brush and sweep kitchen and bathroom tiles.
Tighten the bolts on leaky faucets and have a professional look at any faulty wiring.
Once you have made these minor changes inside of your home you should do the same to the outside.
Start by mowing the lawn if needed and picking up any debris that may have been left outside.
Spray washing your driveway and clearing your driveway out are also great ways to enhance the look of your home.
Leaving your home in good condition will improve the chances of increasing home value if you are selling and will guarantee you get all of your deposit back if you were renting.
