How to Transfer an AVI to an iPhone
- 1). Download and install Quicktime Pro ($30) via the link in Resources.
- 2). Right-click the AVI file you wish to transfer and select "Open With." Choose Quicktime Pro to open the AVI.
- 3). Click "File" and select "Export." Select either iPhone or MPEG-4 format (iPhone format will give you a smaller file with lower quality) and choose a file destination.
- 4). Click "OK" to begin the conversion process.
- 1). Download and install ffmpegx using the link provided in Resources.
- 2). Open ffmpegx by double-clicking the icon on your desktop.
- 3). Drag your AVI file into the "Source Format" pane of ffmpegx.
- 4). Click "Save As" and choose a name and destination for your video file.
- 5). Click the "To" drop-down and select "MPEG-4." Click "Encode" to convert the file.

- 2). Open iPhone Video Converter by double-clicking the program icon on your desktop.
- 3). Click "Open file" and select the AVI you wish to convert.
- 4). Click "Convert" to automatically convert the video into iPhone format.
- 1). Connect your iPhone to your computer and open the iTunes software.
- 2). Drag your recently converted video file into iTunes to load it into your library.
- 3). Select your iPhone under "Devices" in iTunes.
- 4). Click "Sync" to add the video to your phone.
