How to Get Rid of Acne With Natural Supplements

For a great part of my life (over a decade) I had suffered from severe cystic acne, which is known for being very painful and causes long-term damage and scarring to the skin.
Being young at the time this caused a big hit against my confidence, so I spent this time trying method after method to find out how to get rid of the acne.
I had literally tried it all.
Prescribed antibiotics, topical cream, vitamin mega-doses, harsh antibacterial washes and face wipes, bathing four times a day, extreme diets etc.
After this I stumbled upon a website that was selling a mixture of herbal supplements, normally when I come across things like this (especially natural herbs) I always dismissed the idea as being ridiculous.
However after trying a combination of Burdock Root, Garlic and Psylium Husks I have definitely changed my mind.
And here's why...
Acne is caused from the INSIDE.
There are many factors such as diet and stress that can contribute to it but ultimately acne comes down to how well your body can eliminate the toxins and reduce the stress levels.
Clearly my body couldn't do this, be it due to allergies (which herbs have also removed) or deficiencies in certain vitamins.
Over the past two years I have been using a combination of supplements and vitamins in standard doses.
There are many different types that are suitable for getting rid of acne but I will list the ones that I am still currently using or would recommend the most.
- Burdock Root Burdock Root is a highly effective herbal supplement that if taken regularly is strong enough to clear acne on it's own.
It helps to boost the immune system and remove toxins from the body.
Acne is caused by the body having more toxins that it can remove and therefore turns to the skin to help expel them, causing the outbreaks.
Burdock root improves the body's functionality and therefore stops the skin ever needing to be involved.
- Psylium Husks Psylium Husks are a fibre that's best taken on a 30 day course.
It is ideal to take the supplement with a large glass of water as it expands in the stomach and then clears the intestines.
This helps removes toxins from the colon which means there are less overall toxins and because the fibre increases stool volume they are removed much quicker and more often.
- Zinc and Vitamin C Zinc and Vitamin C are both great immune system boosters.
They help to heal damaged skin as well as making great anti-oxidants.
Overall if you take around 4 burdock root capsules a day along with the recommended levels of the other supplements you will be straight on track to getting clear skin.
It may sound very simple but give it a go and you won't be disappointed, the best bit is all the supplements are cheap and easily found in all health food stores.
