Washington, DC: March for Life Rally
Each January, the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Americans rally in Washington DC and exercise their freedoms of speech and petition. Roe v. Wade was a Supreme Court decision decided in 1973 making abortion legal in the United States. The issue of abortion and a woman’s right to choose has remained controversial and politically charged ever since.

Roe v. Wade Anniversary Rally and Celebration - Time to Be Announced.
Pro-choice groups such as The National Organization for Women, and NARAL Pro-Choice America will gather at the Supreme Court, 1st Street NE between Maryland Ave and East Capitol.
March for Life Pro-Life Rally – Noon to 1:30 p.m. National Mall west of 8th Street near the Smithsonian Castle. The annual March for Life, a gathering of pro-life Americans begins with a rally at the National Mall and then proceeds with a march down Constitution Avenue ending in front of the Supreme Court. Various pro-life organizations hold events before and after the March. The Catholic Archdiocese of Washington hosts a March for Life Youth Rally and Mass every year at the Verizon Center.
How to Get to the National Mall and the Supreme Court
The best way to get to any large gathering on the National Mall is by taking public transportation. The closest Metro stations to the National Mall are Archives/Navy Memorial, Judiciary Square, Federal Triangle and L'Enfant Plaza. The closest Metro Stations to the Supreme Court are Union Station and Capitol South.
