Why Should I Work, Obama Will Provide
Why does the unemployment rate continue to rise, and why are people not finding a job to replace the one that they got laid off from previously? Could it be that many people are lazy, and they realize that as long as their unemployment benefits continue, they don't need to really find a job anyway? After all, why should you work if President Obama promised he will provide for you? It is interesting, that socialist-like left-leaning politicians often promise all sorts of things to the people, things for which the government cannot afford.
The reality is that the United States of America cannot afford to pay people not to work indefinitely, and they certainly cannot afford to pay people not to work when the percentage gets over 15 to 20%.
Guess what, right now the unemployment rate is 12.
1%, and that is using the government statistics, if you use other people's statistics, real economic analysts, they figure that the employment rate is already at 15% and on its way to 20% in an awful hurry.
The reality is many people who are out of work have stopped looking, and their unemployment benefits have run out, and they have discharged themselves from the workforce, so therefore, they no longer count in the statistics.
But that doesn't mean they don't exist.
It is completely dangerous to the productivity and efficiency of an economy, especially in an economic powerhouse like the United States, when you tell people that the banks cannot foreclose on their property if they fail to make their payments, as they'll stop paying.
Also if you tell them that the government will provide free healthcare, and continue their unemployment benefits, then why should they go to work anyway? Likewise, if you tell people that once they make over $250,000 a year that you are going to raise their taxes to an exorbitant amount, at some point they're going to say why should I work anymore.
Indeed, I think we have a huge problem with this right now the United States, and I have to blame the socialist left movement in the United States which are causing this terrible sense of entitlement.
The promises have to stop.
