Beach Wedding Scrapbook Ideas
- Each couple chooses the location of their beach wedding for different reasons. The scrapbook should have plenty of pictures of the location and indicate why it was chosen. Is it a memorable location for the bride and groom? Does it have special significance? Or was it just a location that sounded like a good idea? Truly capturing the location means including photos of the beach, the wedding venue, if there was one, and the water. Make sure to include mementos from where the wedding party stayed, along with any tourist material that you used while you were there, such as brochures and maps.
- Make sure that you take plenty of pictures of the bride, groom and wedding party so that you can feature them in the scrapbook. Also take the time to keep wedding mementos like menus, invitations, programs, favors, flower petals and other keepsakes that can fit into a scrapbook and remind the couple of their special day.
- Try using natural colors and textures that are reminiscent of a beach. Collect small shells while you're at the beach that you can later use to accent some of the pictures. Even something small like a drink umbrella makes a great embellishment for a beach wedding scrapbook. Check out your local scrapbook or paper crafting store to find stickers, vellum, and title blocks that will match your beach wedding theme.
As with any scrapbook, a beach wedding scrapbook follows a certain color scheme, theme and mood that will be reflected within its pages. Was the wedding like a big party, full of fun and life? Then you can use vibrant colors and bold titles to represent the general feeling of the wedding. If it was romantic and intimate, you may want to try more subdued colors and focusing on the actual photos rather than a lot of text and embellishments.
