  The Rock Band series of video games lets players simulate the performance of musicians. Released in November of 2007 for the Xbox 360 system, the first Rock Band game gives players the option of playing guitar, bass guitar, drums, or singing through a microphone. Players must hit notes at designated times in the song to achieve good scores. Rock Band features a number of cheats that will help players earn all of the items in the game.
  
  

Icons

• A standard icon typically appears beside a player while competing online, but special icons can be unlocked. Beating Rock Band's Endless Setlist on Medium difficulty will earn the Inverted Colors icon, while doing so on Hard difficulty gets the Gold icon. To get the Platinum icon, players have to beat the Endless Setlist on Expert difficulty, the highest level in the game.
  
  

Instruments

• Some of the instruments in Rock Band do not appear from the beginning of the game and must be unlocked. To get the Gold Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster HSS, players must finish the Guitar Solo Tour. Completing the Drum Solo Tour unlocks the Gold Drum Kit, while besting the Vocal Solo Tour earns the Gold Microphone.
  
  Finishing the Bonus Tour on the Guitar Solo Tour will earn the Silver Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster HSS, and finishing the Bonus Tour of the Drum Solo Tour unveils the Silver Drum Kit. The Silver Microphone can be earned by besting the Bonus Tour of the Vocal Solo Tour.
  
  Attaining Hall of Fame status on guitar will earn a Transparent Fender Stratocaster, while doing so on bass guitar will earn a Transparent Fender Bass. The Transparent Drum Kit is unlocked by getting to Hall of Fame status on drums, and the Transparent Microphone is given after a player gets Hall of Fame status on vocals.
  
  

Fans

• While playing Band World Tour mode in Rock Band, it is possible to lose fans after a poor performance in which a song is failed. To avoid this, players can unplug one of the game's wired instruments after failing a song and then exit out of the Band World Tour screen and go back to the main menu with one of the other instruments. After this, return to Band World Tour mode and the amount of fans will remain where it was prior to failing the song.
  
  

Code

• Rock Band players can unlock all of the cheats in the game by entering a code at the Rock Band title screen. To do this, enter the following code: red, yellow, blue, red, red, blue, blue, red, yellow and blue. All of the game's extras and songs will then be available.
