Ivy League Business Colleges
- Founded in 1881, the Wharton School, the world's oldest business college, hosts a range of programs from pre-college summer sessions for high school juniors and seniors to doctoral studies. Its mission today is to be "the most comprehensive source of business knowledge in the world."
- Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management offers full-time graduate business study, including a typical two-year program and an accelerated 12-month program, as well as executive study and Ph.D. programs for those interested in research and business education.
- The first graduate school of business, the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College has only one degree program, the MBA. A smaller program in size but not in quality or prestige, the Tuck program emphasizes student-faculty interaction to craft the next generation of business leaders.
- Perhaps the most well-known of all the Ivy League business schools, Harvard Business School introduced the case method of study, a method used at colleges and universities around the world. Degrees awarded include the MBA, executive MBA and Ph.D. The "Harvard Business Review," a respected business publication utilized by educational and commercial institutions alike, discusses current business issues.
- The Yale University business program is an integrated study of organizations, including ethical and moral considerations, designed to prepare students for today's global, cross-functional business environment.
- In its business program, Columbia University emphasizes cross-disciplinary studies to encourage students to capitalize on ideas from many disciplines in their decision making and problem solving. In addition to full-time study, Columbia offers executive and short-term study programs for different levels of management as well as the Certificate in Business Excellence, which requires 18 days of study.
- Brown and Princeton, the other two Ivy League universities, do not offer business programs. However, in 2010, Brown University announced a partnership with IE Business School in Madrid, Spain, wherein, through a 15-month combined online and classroom program conducted between the two campuses, students may obtain a business degree from IE Business School.
For students interested specifically in finance, Princeton University's Bendheim Center for Finance offers both undergraduate and graduate studies in finance.
