How to License a Pedicab in Tampa, Florida
- 1). Obtain a record of your driving history from the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles. If you hold a driver's license from another state, contact the motor vehicle authority in that state to obtain the history.
- 2). Obtain a permit application for a non-motorized vehicle from a police station in Tampa. The easiest way to do this is to walk into a police station and ask for a paper application.
- 3). Fill out the form and sign it in the presence of a notary public.
- 4). Take the permit application, your driving history form and your driver's license to the police station. Pay the application fee ($10 in January 2011) and turn in the materials for your non-motorized driving permit. The police will take your photo and issue you a permit for driving your pedicab.
- 5). Display your permit in a conspicuous location on your pedicab.
