You might have tried many weight loss diet programs but not succeeded in losing weight.
This might have led you to wonder why do diets fail and what can you do about it.
Here are just a few reasons why diets fail for most people.

Difficulty to Stick to Diets How many people are able to stick to a diet plan for even 7 days? Not many.
It is precisely due to this reason that many diet plans may fail.
Most people find it difficult to stick to a restrictive diet plan.
Initially they may do so for a few days, but after 7-10 days you may find it difficult to carry on with the diet program and quit.
Then after a few days, you start on another diet plan.

Body Deprived of Nutrition How many diet plans are healthy? Many would deprive your body of essential nutrients.
The end result can be spoiling of health as well as dropping of metabolism rate.
Metabolism rate refers to the rate at which body burns calories or fat.
If metabolism rate drops, usually the weight loss rate would also drop.
That means starving yourself might actually be counter productive to your weight loss efforts - Ouch! 3.
What happens When You Stop Dieting Suppose you have somehow crossed the above mentioned hurdles and have successfully completed a weight loss diet program.
Assume that you have succeeded in losing a few pounds too and are quite happy with the results.
Now the important question is - how long will the results last? Before you had started dieting, you were probably eating unhealthy foods and very likely you are going to go back to those previous habits.
Is it not a likely scenario? What happens in such a case? Its not difficult to guess at all.
My guess is that that weight is going to come back again quite soon.
You see many diet plans leave you to yourself once you finish the dieting program.
They don't encourage lifelong healthy habits nor do they show you the way.
So once you are off the diet, you may easily go back to your old bad habits.
The above are some of the reasons why you might find it difficult to lose weight by going for any of the numerous fad diets that exist in the market today.
There are probably tons of more reasons why diets fail for so many people.
