The 5 C"s to Grow Your Business - How to Be Remembered!
What is the biggest complaint that you have when your Internet has gone done for the 100th time? Or, when you go to the Doctor and sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes before you are seen? Or when you buy a brand new car and after driving it for a week, you begin to hear a strange rattle and no one in the service department hears it, JUST YOU as you're speeding down the highway wondering if you made the wrong decision, experiencing buyer's remorse???? Quite frankly, all I want is SOMEONE TO CARE! All I want is someone to connect with me on a PERSONAL level and make me feel as if I matter to them and my business matters to them.
I have found that many businesses and sales people do a TERRIBLE job of connecting with their clients.
I know this because I am a customer and I am unappreciated almost all of the time.
I meet 5-10 new business people every week.
I would probably be a great customer for many of those businesses.
Here is the reality: I never hear from 98% of them ever again.
Think about all the networking events that YOU go to.
Think of all the people you see and meet and NEVER hear from again.
Then think of how many people YOU meet that would be good clients for you, but you don't follow up.
Why don't you do better follow up? Mostly, because follow up requires discipline and can be a little daunting.
But think how much you could grow your network, your client base and your relationships if you just did what N.

Times Best Seller, Entrepreneur and Successful Businessman, Harvey MacKay has done.
HE HAS STAYED IN TOUCH WITH PEOPLE AND MADE THEM FEEL IMPORTANT TO HIM THROUGHOUT THEIR LIFETIMES! There are 2 fundamentals that Mr.
MacKay has used which his dad taught when he turned 18: 1.
To network with everyone he meets and to find a way to stay in touch with those people FOR HIS LIFETIME.
2.
To give 25% of his time to charity.
Those are 2 seemingly easy goals, right? Then, why aren't you doing them then? The goal is to have 100's if not 1000's of friends that you can connect with, at any time, and they will be there for you.
These aren't Facebook friends that you connect with only on the computer.
These are people that you can call up ANYTIME you need something and these friends would do whatever you need..
..
REAL FRIENDS..
..
LIFETIME FRIENDS.
The way to do that is to start building those relationships NOW! Where better to start than in your local church, or with a civic responsibility, a community outreach, or any other volunteer opportunity.
If you start giving 25% now, you will reap greater rewards down the road, I guarantee.
You too can have great success, sell successfully to businesses and be remembered if you will just follow the 5 C's: * COMMIT to call your clients and prospective clients once every 6 months.
Put them in Outlook or ACT or your database management system and stay in touch with them.
* CONTACT your database and send them a PERSONALIZED card once every 3 or 4 months.
* COMPILE your lists and send an e-mail once in awhile.
* COORDINATE your efforts and give them a small gift every now and then.
* CONSIDERATELY look for opportunities to connect them to people that they might benefit from.
If you do these small steps, your revenue WILL increase! When someone receives a card or a card and a gift simply to say thank you, there is an unspoken feeling of indebtedness and gratitude.
Now imagine what happens when 1-3 cards like this are sent out daily.
Over the course of 1 year, almost 1000 people are positively impacted by your expressions of gratitude.
The result...
an increase in business.
It's so simple.
Make yourself known and stay in touch! How many thousands of contacts fall through the cracks? Job hunting? Here's a unique idea: I know someone that got a job because they created a 'resume' card and put their photo on the front and an abbreviated resume inside the card.
Want to really make a different to a client? Capture memories from weddings, graduations, athletic events, baby showers, etc.
and send them in a card! Your clients and prospective clients want to know they matter...
they want to be important in YOUR life! Even if it's for business, keep it personal! These are just some small steps that I guarantee, will keep you remembered if you follow them.
Cheers and here's to being remembered and top-of-mind for YOUR success! Lori
