Now, there are a couple of things that you should do when you have a puppy Chihuahua brought at home, and I will point out a few things regarding the actions and the moods of the Chihuahuas, as well as how they react on certain encountered situations.
Like you already know, the Chihuahua is a social creature and if you want to keep him being cooperative with people around him, you need to provide him social interactions with various people, as many as possible.
That will help the puppy to become more confident in himself and the people around him.
Many people tend to believe that a dog as small as this one is rather shy and wimpy.
Well, a Chihuahua is the exception of the rule, if I may say so; it depends on the master if he will raise his pet in the right way in becoming a strong character or a loser one.
Put yourself in his position, try to think and act like him and try not to do to him what you do not like to be done to you! You can have the most beautiful relation with your pet in the future, or you can be perfect enemies; it's all coming down to one thing and one thing only: puppies that are neglected may suffer a myriad of physical or even mental problems when they grow up.
Be proud about your dog! After all you chose him, not the other way around; if you are not putting your trust in him, who will? When you are walking him in the park be prepared to receive all kind of remarks from people passing by regarding your Chihuahua; just smile and tell them to keep it quiet, as your dog thinks it is a saber-tooth! Make him feel like a winner all the time!
