How to Get Fuzz Balls off of a Knit Sweater After Laundering
- 1). Use a fabric comb to remove the fuzz balls. Hold the sweater with one hand. Place the comb against the sweater, and move it down the fabric. Always comb in one direction and move slowly.
- 2). Remove fuzz with the emery board. Run it down the length of the sweater, in one direction. Do not press it into the sweater. Just hold it gently over the surface as you move down the sweater. Pull off excess fuzz from the emery board, and continue running it down the sweater until all fuzz is removed.
- 3). Use sandpaper to remove fuzz balls. Simply run the sandpaper down the length of the sweater. Never rub too hard, because the sandpaper may snag the sweater. Always hold the sandpaper gently over the sweater, and move slowly in one direction.
- 4). Cut the fuzz balls off the sweater. Simply cut the top of the fuzz ball. Never cut deeply into the sweater or pull fuzz balls off, because this may damage your knit sweater.
- 5). Get rid of the fuzz balls with a fabric shaver. Run the shaver down the length of the sweater slowly. Do not press it deeply into the fabric, because this may damage it. Always follow the instructions to ensure you are using it correctly.
