The Van's Warped Tour

• The Van's shoe company is the main sponsor of this mega-tour every summer that winds its way all throughout the United States. In 2010, the tour performed at more than 50 venues across the nation in front of more than 2 million fans. The tour is set-up festival-style with skateboarding and BMX demonstrations, vendors and areas where you can actually meet your favorite bands and buy their merchandise and music. The tour has a roster of more than 200 bands but not all play every city on every date. You can mix it up quite a bit by catching more than one tour date.

Lilith Fair

• Lilith Fair is an annual showcase of some of the top female names in the music industry and diversity and empowerment are the key focuses of the tour. The tour was created by Grammy-winning star Sarah McLachlan, who in 2010 was joined by Mary J. Blige, Tegan and Sara, Sheryl Crow, Carly Simon, Emmylou Harris and the Indigo Girls. Not every act plays every city but the tour offers variety at every stop. The tour travels the Unites States from coast to cost from June to August every year with stops in major cities such as Las Vegas, New York City and Chicago, Boston and San Francisco.

American Idol Live!

• American Idol Live! is your chance to see the stars you voted for on the popular show, live and in person. In 2010, the tour featured season nine winner, Lee DeWyze, runner-up, Crystal Bowerbox and eight others including Michael Lynche, Siobhan Magnus and Tim Urban. This tour is important i to new artists trying to make a name for themselves. In the summer of 2010, the tour made more than 40 stops in major cities such as Chicago and New York City and in smaller markets such as Sacramento, CA.
