Access your United Airlines Mileage Plus Account

• Log on to the United Airlines website so that you may access your frequent flyer account. Determine your mileage balance. Then use the Mileage Plus drop-down menu and select "Buy or Transfer Miles."
  
  

Limitations

• You may transfer up to 60,000 miles, and up to 15,000 miles to each person in any calendar year. United charges a $35 transaction fee and .015 cents per mile.
  
  

Collect the Recipient's Information

• Gather information about the recipients. You will need their email addresses and Mileage Plus account numbers. Their email addresses must be the ones on file with United.
  
  

Initiate the Transfer

• Click on "Transfer Miles Now" and enter the appropriate information. You will need to enter credit card information in order to pay for the transfer.
