Lake Powell Resort and Marina offers boat tours to several sites. The most popular tour takes guests to Rainbow Bridge, a natural sandstone wonder carved by water hitting the rock surface. Rainbow Bridge is the largest natural bridge in the world, at 290 feet tall and 270 feet across. The Navajo consider Rainbow Bridge a sacred symbol of the gods who create clouds, rain and rainbows. Tours to Rainbow Bridge take most of the day, including a 2-to-3 hour trip each way from the marinas. Tours allow time to walk around and take photographs of the bridge. A dinner cruise is also available.
