How to Decorate a Table for a 60th Birthday Party
- 1). Cover the table with linens. Since diamond white is the color associated with the 60th wedding anniversary, take your cue from these colors and use them for the table linens. Cover the table with a white tablecloth and top it with a silver organza overlay. Set a white satin runner with rhinestone piping down the center of the table. Place silver placemats at each seat at the table.
- 2). Feature a centerpiece on the table. Use the centerpiece to feature the number 60 on the table, or to add personal accents that relate to the guest of honor. Feature the number 60 in the centerpiece. Display a number 60 carved from wood in the center of the table, or print the number 60 in a decorative font, set it in a picture frame and display it in the center of the table — surround either number 60 centerpiece with tea lights and confetti. Create a collage of pictures that mark special times in the birthday celebrant's life, set it in the center of the table and scatter it with confetti shaped like the number 60. Display items in the center of the table that relate to the decade the guest of honor was born. For example, for someone born in the 1950s, set an inflatable guitar, a vinyl record and a pair of black-framed sunglasses in an arrangement the center of the table.
- 3). Set the table with plastic dishes and cups that have the number 60 printed on them. Place plastic plates with a large number 60 in the center of them on top of the placemats. Set out cups that have the number 60 printed on them above each of the plates.
- 4). Dress up the chairs around the table. Tie lengths of ribbon with the number 60 printed on them around the back of uncovered chairs. Inflate balloons that have the number 60 printed on them and tie them to the backs of the chairs.
