Some of the most beautiful landscapes and architecture in the world come to us from Spanish-speaking countries.
From the mountains of the Andes range in South America to the sun warmed waters of the Caribbean and Mediterranean seas, one must experience the landscapes and seascapes for himself/herself to fully appreciate the diversity and culture of these lands.
The photographs from these areas of the world do not do justice to the greatness of the breathtaking views available to the eyewitness.
On the same token, the various cultures represented in Hispanophone countries demonstrate the multiplicities of thought and action that benefit any visitor.
Unfortunately, typical tourism often replaces culturally enriching experiences available in Spanish-Speaking nations.
For example, museums, while important in preserving past culture, often neglect to focus on the current issues among the citizens of Spain, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Equatorial Guinea, and Belize.
In order to take advantage of any experience in these countries a guest must participate in the day-to-day life of the citizens there.
He/she must interact with the people.
More often than not, most people that go to regions where Spanish is spoken choose to live in a bubble, which creates cultural incomprehension and ethnocentrism.
By spending time in cities and towns that are usually not considered common destinations for many people, any guest will learn to appreciate the various traditions of each region.
On the same token, by stepping off of the rigid regiment of tours or tour guides of popular mainstream destinations, any traveler will learn to appreciate the people of the Spanish-speaking world.
Any guest who intermingles with the citizens of North America, South America, Europe, and Africa learns that travel is much more than how to get there, what to expect, and which historical marker to run to next.
More importantly, their goal is to enjoy the overall relationships of humankind.
